About Bayer Crop Science

Bayer Environmental Science in South Africa is a business group of Bayer CropScience. The Garden range of products form part of the Bayer Environmental Science business group. Extensive research is undertaken under local conditions before introducing products for use in the home garden. All Bayer Garden products used in South Africa are manufactured to conform to the high German standards of quality and can be relied upon to be highly effective if used at the recommended dosages.

It has been over 20 years since Bayer first launched their range of garden products in South Africa. The first two products that were launched are the well-known systemic insecticide Metasystox R , used to control aphids, and the fruit insecticide Lebaycid developed for the control of fruit flies. Through ongoing research and new product development

While most of our active ingredients are researched and developed in Germany, locally our products are tested again to ensure that the products are adapted to our specific South African climatic conditions.
